In a mood to write.

I am a terrible owner because I have abandoned this lovely blog of mine. Hah.

What's up, everyone? (that is if I still have any readers here.)
I stumbled upon my blog a few days ago and felt that I should make an update, and since I'm in a mood to write now... why not update you guys on my life so far?

My birthday just passed, well not just, it was three weeks ago. I had a great birthday, I wasn't expecting much because I didn't feel special to turn eighteen. All my friends were like, "so how's it like turning eighteen?" and i gave them a short reply, "it feels normal actually. no difference really."

Yes, I know eighteen is a legal age in Singapore.
Yes, I know i can drive now.
Yes, I can drink alcohol whenever I feel like it.
Yet somehow I feel that I hold more responsibilities now.

I went bowling with my clique and we had fun. They surprised me when I went to meet them, I was really surprised haha. Apparently I was taken aback and didn't know what to do when they shoved the cake right in front of me. The best part is... it was chocolate cake! Hahaha you know me and my love for chocs.

My lovely presents from Grace, Wanzhen and Liz. I'm very touched by the cards they gave me. :')

I recently finished reading The Fault of Our Stars by John Green and My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult.
Both books contain a character dealing with cancer, so I would say they are very dark and profound.
I cried after reading Green's book, but not Picoult's even though her story line was more touching. Maybe cause I read it after reading Green's book so I was kinda used to the sadness.

I gotta say Picoult's way of writing is extremely descriptive and talented. She's able to let us view the perspective of the different characters, allowing us to be stuck in this zone of conflicting feelings, not knowing which side to pick and whose side to stay on. I did cry when I watched the movie though, even though the story line was slightly different, I still managed to cry a few times throughout the movie.

I would give The Fault of Our Stars an 8/10 and My Sister's Keeper a 9/10. I strongly recommend these books to those who are very emotional and love to read. :-)

I don't think I want to blog about my college life, it's practically the same thing.
Struggle, study, fail, improve, fail again, .... and the cycle goes on.
But I won't give up.

Alright I need to revise macro econs now, goodbye x
